Valve has announced that the one million dollar online Tournament for Dota 2, where players composed of sixteen teams will compete for the ” best dota teams of the world “, will occur at Gamescom as a stage. According to the announcement Dota 2 will be released to Mac and PC later this year.
The one million dollar event will occur at Gamescom from August 17 through August 21, and for those who will not attend Gamescom will be able to watch the tournament online or through a dedicated client on Valve’s Steam digital distribution platform. The event will be live broadcasting worldwide in English, Chinese, Russian, and German. [Source]
