When you think of Apple’s Finder you generally think of it as complete. It doesn’t have many bugs, if any, and it has tons of features. But there are some things that Finder should have. TotalFinder is like Finder has been given Batman’s utility belt. In other words Finder gets a few other tools added to its arsenal.
TotalFinder adds the function of Tabs, which greatly increases your productivity! A couple of days with TotalFinder and you won’t be able to live with standard Finder anymore.

What features does TotalFinder add?
- Tabs like Google Chrome
- Dual Mode
- Folders on Top (Optional)
- Show/Hide System Files
- Visor (A System-wide Finder that Slides in from the bottom with a keystroke)
- Cut&Paste
You may be thinking that TotalFinder is a hack, and is probably unstable. As far as I am concerned it is just as stable as Finder.
GiveMeMind is giving TotalFinder a 5/5
TotalFinder is a great addition to Finder, tabs should be default in Finder. The other features are just icing on the cake, they are great additions that make TotalFinder even more attractive.
