New Kindle Fire Announced With 40% Faster Performance « Tech News « GiveMeMind

Following the announcement of the Kindle Paperwhite, Amazon has announced the new Kindle Fire and they claim it has 40% faster performance. The new Kindle Fire has double the RAM compared to the first generation and a faster processor, along with better battery life. You will be able to order today for $159 and it will ship on September 14.

Amazon hasn’t really given the Kindle Fire a huge update as they have replaced it with $199 and $299 Kindle Fire HD models in 7 and 8.9-inch varieties. Read more about the Kindle Fire HD here.
