According to new reports, Apple‘s new Map in iOS 6 will feature Yelp integration letting users “check-in”. The new feature will allow users to broadcast their location to friends, this according to materials Apple distributed to software developers.
Bloomberg reports:
The Apple developer kit, which was given to programmers earlier this month and examined by Bloomberg, includes screen shots of Yelp check-ins within Apple Maps. Trudy Muller, a spokeswoman for Cupertino, California-based Apple, declined to comment, as did Vince Sollitto, a spokesman for San Francisco- based Yelp.
Apple iPhone has featured Google’s Map application since 2007, now with the new iOS 6 Apple has dropped Google and brought in their own Map application with the help of TomTom.
