If you’re the type of person that hates contracts and prefers to have their smartphone unlocked and available for whichever carrier you choose, then this is the story for you. Google has started selling the Galaxy Nexus in its Play Store for the price of $399 for US residents. This is non-subsidized pricing with no contract, it’s definitely cheaper than one would expect. Obviously you won’t be able to use it with either Verizon, Sprint, or any other CDMA network, but if you were looking to just pick it up and pop in a GSM SIM card, now’s the time to grab it.
