hina, with the population they have, it shouldn’t be a surprise they have now claimed the role of the first country in the world to reach one billion mobile phone subscribers.
The country’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has said the number of mobile phone subscribers in China had reached 997 billion by late February and was expected to hit one billion by end of month.
Assuming the MIIT’s prediction was accurate, China’s mobile market has now shot past that mark.
