It’s a hassle backing up your iPad or iPhone, we all know it. It looks as though Apple may be trying to fix that with a Thunderbolt port.
A new Apple job listing suggests that Apple might be working on incorporating Thunderbolt ports for its iOS devices. This posting comes off the news that Apple received a patent for creating a new 30 pin connector that’s compatible with Thunderbolt..
By building future iOS devices with Thunderbolt, Apple would be able to significantly boost data read/write speeds as well as output the devices to external displays with the same port.
If you’re sick of the USB this is good news for you!
